Remember about the birds that built a nest next to the main door of my house? I have not seen them flying out of the nest for the past 3 weeks. Usually when I bend over to look for my shoes, a bird will suddenly dash out from the nest. Not that I did it on purpose, but sometimes I just forget that there is actually a nest about 30cm away from me.
So, I thought it’s a little strange if those birds abandon their nest after all those hard work of building it. Mumzy was wondering what happened to those birds and the other day she peeked into the nest.
To her amazement, she saw 5 little eggs inside it!

Waa...the bird is about the size of a sparrow but managed to lay 5 eggs! Where did they come from?
Steady bird!!

Awwwww...its like they're sleeping...!!
Mumzy hypothesized that the bird got into an accident..maybe it got hit by a car or got eaten. So I piped in and said what happen to the other half?
Random bird that plunged to its death
“Har? Got other half again meh? I thought only 1 bird will take care of it”
LOL! Of course there are 2 of them right? Lol. I told mumzy that there are actually 2. Female and male mah. Right?? Thats what cartoons and uhm...others always depict. Then she said...kasian eh maybe 2 of them died=.=
She asked me and sis to “yang*” it. Use my Ikea lamp’s yellow bulb to keep the eggs warm so they can hatch. Then go to the garden or field to dig for worms. Plenty.
*yang - In Mandarin, means take care of it just as you would if you have pets.
We still don’t know what to do. So far I have not seen any bird flying in that area. I am getting worried. What if they never return? Or are birds like penguin, where 1 of the bird will hunt outside for fishes (I can imagine) and by the time they get back, which is after a few weeks, you can see their beak (looking very proud at their achievement) overflowing with fishes? Think Happy Feet.
What if those eggs become rotten after a few more weeks?
GRAHH!!!
OK! Let’s just say some hypothetical person decided to hatch those eggs. And that hypothetical person has to juggle between university, work, chores, possibly dancing and also leisure time. Can anyone deal with it?
We are talking about 5 nestling here.
Who is gonna feed it every few hour?
Clean it?
Keep them away from ants?!?
Teach it how to fly?! Lol. Erm. Course not. That’s for eagles only right? Errr.
OR
Take the challenge. Be the mama bird.
Sigh. I don’t know what to do. What would you do?
Right.
Something a little more happier.
My orders from the US arrived yesterday! Wheeeee!

Happy happy!!!
The wait is finally over! 7 weeks can?!
But when I tried them, I got a bit disappointed cos I chose the wrong size =( Yes, you know what I'm talking about. The band is sort of loose even when its tightened. But the cups fit. lol. Had I picked a smaller one, I think both will fit just nice. It will go well with the plunge-bare back dress of mine for cousin's wedding next month.
I have to make up my mind - gain 5kgs in 4 weeks or return it only to get the correct size 8 weeks later =_____________________= The former sounds good though. It means I have license to eat!!!
Oh well. But I'm going for the latter. I'm still gonna have to eat though. Many of my friends whom I have not seen over the semester break said that I am losing weight. And they ask "whats wrong, why suddenly so thin?" =S
I shall blog about it when I can. Haven't take pix of it.
